Women can benefit from the healthful endeavor of getting outside and spending time in nature. Spending a few minutes or a few hours can help a woman in her quest for a healthier life.
Personal Story
My husband and I just returned from a weekend get-away. We drove a couple of hours away and stayed in what my husband called a “dumpy condo.” We truly enjoyed our time in nature at the two state parks where we hiked.
Benefits of Spending Time in Nature
The benefits of getting outside are many. Here is a list to motivate us to get up and out.
- Fresh air
- Exercise
- Vitamin D
- Better sleep
- Improved eyesight
- Mental health
- Social interaction, if we take someone with us
Many of these benefits are scientifically proven. In addition, I believe a woman can be more productive if she takes a break and goes outside for a short walk or sitting on the deck.
Action Step
Plan a time to go out and enjoy nature this week. You’ll be glad you did!
